(NECN: Erick Weber, Boston, Mass.) - "This is a gift from the baseball gods to be standing out here when it's cold. We never thought it was going to happen. Like everyone else, I had limited expectations," says Dick Flavin, Poet Laureate of the Boston Red Sox.

Flavin previews Game 1 of the World series with NECN's Erick Weber at Fenway Park.

Boston will take on the St. Louis Cardinals Wednesday night.

"They beat all expectations," says Flavin of the Sox.
