BENTON, Maine (AP) — The Maine Warden Service says search dogs have found alive an 86-year-old Benton man who had been missing since Wednesday.

Arthur Wakeman was found Friday morning off of Route 139 in Benton. His condition wasn't immediately known.

A news conference has been scheduled for 11 a.m. the Albion Fire Department.

Over 60 volunteers from the Maine Association for Search and Rescue had been helping game wardens, state troopers and others look for Wakeman, who left his home between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Roadblocks were set up Thursday to advise drivers and to distribute literature regarding the search for Wakeman. Authorities also went house-to-house to talk to residents.
