Stonehill College Building Evacuated Due to Chemical Spill

A building at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, has been evacuated due to a chemical spill.

The spill happened inside the college's Science Center around 1 p.m.

The town's fire department, in addition to a hazardous material team. According to Stonehill, the liquid was determined to be a water-based solution from a four liter glass container of the diluted chemicals copper sulphate and hydrochloric acid.

The hazardous team neutralized the spill and is testing the air quality. Clean Harbors will dispose of the spill and then the building will be cleared to re-open.

No injuries were reported.
