(NECN: Leslie Gaydos) – Boston mayoral candidate John Connolly is preparing for Election Day, where he hopes to secure the position.

He worked through Monday night to get out and talk to the voters. He is promising that he will fight for the people and not the special interests.

“We’ve got a better message and we’ve got the people who live in the city with us knocking on the doors, pulling those voters out.”

He will be traveling to various polling locations in Boston through Tuesday.
