(NECN) – A suspicious device was found under the Bowker Overpass in Boston. As a result, police shut down Bowker at Storrow Drive and Boylston Street, and they also shut down Commonwealth Avenue and Beacon Street at Charlesgate East and West.

The device was disabled by Boston Police and Mass. State Police.

The device was a pressure cooker, and Mass. State Police say it appeared to be discarded.

They also say it does not appear to have been an explosive device, but the incident is under investigation.
