CIA Chief Apologizes for Senate Computer “Hack”

The head of the CIA has apologized to Senate intelligence panel leaders, after an internal probe found that CIA workers had improperly searched Senate computers for information gathered during lawmakers' probe of CIA interrogation techniques. The agency said Thursday that chief John Brennan has commissioned a probe of the CIA conduct and may discipline them. Senate aides close to the matter told the AP Thursday that the CIA used "hacking tools" and created a fake user account in an effort to retrieve documents the CIA thought Senate aides had improperly accessed.
