(NECN: Jackie Bruno, Boston) - On your mark. Get set. Go!

It's almost time for the Spartan Race time trial at Fenway.

The ballpark is being transformed into an obstacle course for a two-day event this weekend.

Jackie Bruno has a live inside look of Fenway with what participants will be facing.

Red Sox and Fenway Park are celebrating 100 years, and this is the first time they’ve ever done anything like the Spartan Race.

Chris Jordan, Red Sox events manager, says it’s pretty intense. It’s a sprint-mile race that is about three miles long.

The event is November 17 and 18. Heats start at 8 a.m. and go roughly every five minutes in small waves. On Saturday, the event is from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sunday, the event is from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

There will be over 3,000 racers each day and several thousand spectators. It’s a ball-park wide event.

There is also a kids race for anyone bringing their children.

Spectator tickets for this once in a lifetime event are $40 on-site (please bring cash, limited credit card services are available). Or, save $10 and purchase your spectator tickets online for only $30 per person. Just click on the YELLOW register button in the upper right hand corner of this page to purchase your tickets in advance. As a Spartan Race spectator at the time trial, you’ll have access to the park, the best seats in the house to watch competitors on the field and much, much more!
