(NECN) - Israel is moving a step closer to a possible ground offensive in Gaza.
The military has called up 16,000 reservists as Israel continues to trade rocket fire with Palestinian militants in Gaza.

The two sides have been exchanging rocket fire for days, and on Friday, Palestinian militants took aim at Jerusalem for the first time after earlier targeting Tel Aviv.
Air raid sirens sounded on Friday in both cities, and least 27 Palestinians have been killed in the fighting, as well as with three Israelis.
