(NECN) - Outgoing Boston Mayor Tom Menino is making a donation as he prepares to leave office.
Menino donated two suits he wore during his administration to the Thrift Shop of Boston in the city's Roslindale neighborhood.

The gift will benefit the Home for Little Wanderers, which provides services for children and families.

When asked about his suits, Menino displayed his trademark wit.

"The couple suits in there - I knew some guy who wore them once," said Mayor Menino.

Menino's suits will be displayed in the window of the thrift shop as part of the store's holiday display.
