(NECN) - Barnstable, Mass. Police have made an arrest in a series of arson fires back in April in Hyannis.

On Sunday, investigators arrested Matthew Pungitore, 27, whose last-known address is in West Yarmouth.

Pungitore is charged with four counts of arson for the first in four unoccupied seasonal homes that happened in just a matter of months.

Police say he told investigators he was homeless and entered two homes and turned on the stoves to stay warm, causing the fires.
