(NECN) - They say hard work and determination are the keys to success, but when it comes to sports, how much of success is in a person's genes?

NECN's Ally Donnelly took a look at a Colorado company called Atlas Sports Genetics. The company sells for $170 a genetic test it claims can predict how good a child may be at sports. Some experts are skeptical.

So what makes a sports star? Is it genes, is it hard work, is it nature or is it nurture?

Tom Brady Sr. has some perspective on this. His son grew up to be one of the biggest names in sports: Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
