Harvard beats Yale 28-21 in 'The Game'

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) - Harvard stopped Yale on a fourth-and-17 in the final minute as the Bulldogs tried to rally from a two-touchdown deficit, and the Crimson won the 127th edition of The Game 28-21.

Harvard (7-3, 5-2 Ivy League) has beaten Yale four consecutive times and nine times in 10 years.

Gino Gordon ran for two touchdowns, and he was also involved in a helmet-to-helmet hit that left both him and Yale linebacker Jesse Reising sprawled on the turf. Gordon eventually walked off but Reising, who has signed up for the Marine Corps Officer Candidate School, was wheeled off on a stretcher.

There was no immediate word on Reising's condition.

Alex Thomas ran for 71 yards and three touchdowns for Yale (7-3, 5-2), which would have tied for the title with a victory and a Penn loss to Cornell.

Penn beat the Big Red 31-7.
