Barney Frank not running for re-election

(NECN) - Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts fourth Congressional District has said he will not seek re-election for 2012.

Frank, a ranking member of the House Financial Services Committee, planned to hold a press conference in Newton, Mass. on Monday afternoon, to formally announce and answer questions on the decision.

There will also be a second meeting in Washington on Tuesday.
