(NECN: Justin Michaels, Plaistow, N.H.) - After two weeks on the run, the New Hampshire couple charged in an horrific case of child abuse has been caught.

Jessica Linscott, 23, and Roland Dow, 27, were arrested at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. on Wednesday. They are due in court Thursday.

The two are accused of beating, burning, and blinding Linscott's 3-year-old son, James.

His grandmother, Helen Nicholson, says James is now recovering from his second brain surgery.

"They had to put shunts in because of the bleeding in the brain," Nicolson said.

Linscott and Dow were arrested after watching a parade at the theme park. Police had been searching for the pair since Nov. 13 - the day Linscott dropped her badly injured toddler off at Exeter Hospital.

The U.S. Marshals took the two into custody and say that the couple was shocked that they were caught.

It was tips that lead authorities to Florida, and investigators don't believe they were in the state very long.

The two face fugitive from justice charges in Florida. Many other charges will follow once they are extradited back to New Hampshire. If extradition is waved, the transfer to the Granite State will be immediate, according to the U.S. Marshals.
