Missing pig, Ziggy, found safe in Newton, Mass.

(NECN) - Police in Newton, Mass. received an odd call Friday morning- they were told be alert for a pig on the loose!

People called police to report a black and white pig roaming around the Hagen Road area.

Officials found the pig in a backyard in Newton and managed to track down the owner.

The owner told police the pig, named Ziggy, escaped through a hole in the fence of his backyard.
The owner took Ziggy home on a leash.
