(UPDATE: 12/1 11:40 a.m.) - All closed roads have reopened.

(NECN) - Icy roads were causing accidents on the roads in New England on Sunday morning.

Massachusetts State Police shut down Interstate 290 in Worcester due to a number of serious accidents.

Police say the Lowell Connector has been shut down for the same reason.

Additionally, they also say there are also multiple crashes on Route 2 between Fitchburg and Littleton.

MassDOT is busy treating the roads.
