Boston Police identify suspects in shooting with officers

(NECN) - Boston Police have identified the two suspects involved in a shooting with officers Saturday.

Police confirm the suspect shot and killed in the city's Dorchester neighborhood is 20-year-old Darryl Dookrhan of Boston.

The second suspect. identified as 26-year-old Christopher Murrain of Dorchester, faces arraignment Monday.

Police say the incident began when two officers approached the suspects on Geneva Avenue. One suspect allegedly pushed an officer, took off running, turned around, and fired shots.

The officer was shot in the arm. A different police officer shot and killed Dookrhan. Both officers were treated at Boston Medical Center.
