Shoppers take advantage of snow in Salem, NH

(NECN: Kristen Caira, Salem, N.H.) - The Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem, N.H. is the biggest mall in the state.

Although the area is slated to get pummeled with snow, it has not slowed down the shopping, spending and spreading of holiday cheer. That's good news for retailers.

"Such a short season. This is the second [to last] Saturday before Christmas, people have really come out in full force," said mall spokesperson Emily Hoang. "Lots and lots of shopping bags - you'll see shopping bags all around us now - people are not afraid of the snow."

Some strategic shoppers say they are using the timing of the storm to their advantage.

Workers at the mall are working to keep things safe during the storm.
