Two schools in lockdown following armed robbery in Malden, Mass.

(NECN: Malden, Mass.) - Two schools in Malden, Massachusetts were placed in a precautionary lockdown mode after a bank robbery.

The schools were the Early Learning Center at 257 Mountain Avenue and the Forestdale Elementary School at 74 Sylvan Street.

This, after an armed robbery took place at the Citizens Bank at 876 Main Street in Malden.

Police say there were shots fired during the robbery, but no one was injured.

Police are still looking for the suspect.
