(NECN: Justin Michaels) - After a snow storm left a good portion of New England covered in snow, falling temps have made roads icy and slick.

The city of Boston is cancelling snow removal for Monday, leaving people to take care of snow and ice for themselves.

Because we now know another bout of winter weather is heading this way Tuesday into Wednesday, city crews are out getting Government Center Plaza cleared off using some high-power machinery to break through that layer of ice.
