Logan airport to remain open amidst snowy conditions

(NECN: Kathryn Sotnik, Boston) - Crews at Logan Airport are working diligently to ensure flights remain on time. Inclement weather is a threat to all travel procedures, especially when it comes to air travel.

The biggest problem at this time is visibility and it's expected to deteriorate as the evening wears on. MassPort is prepared to deal with a substantial amount of snow.

There are no plans to close down the airport, though some delays are to be expected Tuesday.

Officials are urging travelers to contact their airline prior to arriving at the airport in order to avoid any potential hiccups in the flight scheduling.
