3pm update: Students at Head O'Meadow Elementary School were kept home today. Police say the school was put into lockdown this morning. They did not say why, but parents were told to keep their kids home for the day.

(NECN) - Newtown, Conn. Police confirm there is a precautionary lockdown at another elementary school in Newtown. The school is Head O'Meadow School, located at 94 Boggs Hill Road.

There are no details at this time why the school is locked down or when the lockdown will be lifted.

Police are responding at this time.
