(NECN) - A Barnstable, Mass. woman is spending Christmas behind bars after police say she stole toys meant for needy kids.

Janice Tully will be in court to face a larceny charge Thursday.

On Christmas Eve, police say Tully took two neighbors in need to two locations to pick up Toys For Tots donations for the neighbors' children.

Police say she put the toys in her trunk and took off, leaving the neighbors behind and without a ride.

They contacted police, who caught up with Tully, but didn't find all of the stolen toys.

Police also provided the neighbors with toys for their kids just in time for Christmas.
