(NECN/ABC) - Lots of celebrities will be singing in Washington D.C., providing the soundtrack for the inauguration. Bruce Springsteen reportedly will hold a free concert the day before the swearing in on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. That night, Jay-Z is rapping at the at the Warner Theater, Sting and Elvis
Costello will perform at a ball and Aretha Franklin will sing at the Kennedy Center and at the inaugural itself.
Finally some good news for Jennifer Hudson, who is mourning the murder of her mother, brother and nephew. The singer was nominated for seven NAACP image awards. One of the nominations is for supporting actress for her role in "The Secret Life of Bees."
"Lost" star Naveen Andrews has been awarded sole custody of his three-year-old son. The boy's mother alleges that Naveen and his girlfriend Barbara Hershey poisoned the boy and that Hershey practices witchcraft. Their lawyer is asking the judge to order her to undergo psychiatric testing.
And, it's another girl for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck. Reps say only that she is healthy...no word yet on a name. The couple already as a three-year-old daughter named Violet.
