January 26, 2009 Real Bearded Santas Meet For Convention Play video

(NECN/KABC) - So, what do Santa's helpers do when Christmas is over?

They get together for a convention in southern California.

The Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas and the International Order of Santas got together at the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel Sunday to share their experiences and trade tips on how to make the magic of the Christmas holiday even better.

Santas attending the convention say it takes a whole lot more to be Santa Claus than having a red suit and a beard.

In addition to sharing information, the Santas had a chance to do a little shopping, for things like new Santa suits and other Christmas related goodies.

The group was even visited by a Santa-suited Snoopy.
