Jackson memorial hopefuls await raffle results

(NECN/ABC: Los Angeles, Calif.) - On Saturday night, 8,750 names will be randomly selected to receive two tickets each to the Michael Jackson memorial service to be held Tuesday at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Those chosen to attend the King of Pop's memorial service will be notified by Monday.

The Staples Center can hold 20,000 people. 11,000 tickets will be given away to fans for free. The remaining 9,000 tickets inside the memorial will be distributed by the Jackson family.

An additional 6,500 seats will be given away to fans to watch on a video screen inside the Nokia Theater across the street.

No details about the memorial service itself have been released. But more continues to be learned about the circumstances surrounding Jackson's death.

Sources confirmed to ABC News that an assortment of prescription painkillers were found inside his rented mansion.

Among the prescriptions found was Diprivan, a powerful sedative normally used used to sedate hospital patients.

Jackson was known to have suffered from severe insomnia.

In the weeks before his death, a registered nurse working with the popstar said he pleaded for Diprivan to cope with the stress of his upcoming comeback concert tour.

The memorial service is expected to leave the city of Los Angeles with a $2.5 million tab to cover security.

As for the Jackson family, they are expected to hold a private service at a local cemetery.
