Airline workers pull a fast one for charity

(NECN: Hebron, Kentucky) - Employees from Comair Airlines faced off in the company's fifth annual charity Jet Pull in northern Kentucky Wednesday.

The event was held at the Cincinnati (Ohio) and Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron, Kentucky.

Teams comprised of airline mechanics, baggage handlers and office support staff attempted to pull a 40,000-pound jet the fastest over a 30-yard course. Video showed teams lugging the crafts across the finish line.

The winning team -- Masters of the Puniverse -- finished in 17 seconds.

The real winners were charity organizations in the Cincinnati, Ohio region affiliated with the United Way. Money raised from the event will be given to the United Way for distribution.
