(NECN/KOMO) - One of the most popular festivals in Seattle, Washington got off to a rousing start with the help of some inventive pumpkin destruction.
The "Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving" event got the Fremont Oktoberfest underway Thursday, with chainsaw-powered artists working on their creative gourds.
The three-day festival kicks into full gear today.
In addition to pumpkin carving, attendees will be able to sample more than 70 microbrews, hang out in a cigar and wine lounge, watch a comedy show and check out a BMS stunt team.
