(NECN) - Harvard has honored Christopher Walken as its Hasty Pudding Man of the year. Walken participated in the event Friday night which highlighted his career.
The 64-year-old Walken won a best supporting actor Oscar as a
troubled Vietnam veteran in 1978's "The Deer Hunter." He was
nominated again for 2002's "Catch Me If You Can."
Talisa Friedman, press manager for the Hasty Pudding drama
troupe, said Walken exemplifies the Hasty Pudding spirit and the
value it puts on fun.
Walken admitted that he is terrified of singing and dancing in public, but proved he was the real deal earning his coveted pot of pudding Friday night. Walken joins hallowed company of Clint Eastwood, Robert Deniro and Richard Gere some of the other men honored by the group.
NECN's Prat Thakkar has more.
