(NECN/ABC) - Once dubbed America's funniest couple, Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman are no longer laughing. The couple has split after five-years together.

Whoopi Goldberg is set to take another turn on Broadway. The Oscar-winner and host of "The View" will star in the musical "Xanadu." It's a six-week stint beginning this month and ending in September. Goldberg says it's a great way to stick her toe back on the Broadway stage. She's previously appeared in a one woman show and in "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom."

Jack Black is going back to school -- "The School of Rock," that is. The comedian will reprise his role as a rock star wannabe in the sequel to the hit movie.

"High School Musical" has inspired a knock-off about a group of young adults who have summer jobs at the mall. Sears is getting in on the act airing a preview on its Web site, providing a location for some of the scenes and clothing for the characters. The movie called "The American Mall" will air on MTV this August.
