'Iron Man' tightens grip at Box Office

(NECN/ABC) - 25-years ago, Vanessa Williams dropped out of Syracuse University to become the first black Miss America. Now, the actress and singer is the proud recipient of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Williams earned the remaining credits through industry experience and performances on stage and screen.

The comic book movie "Iron Man" bulldozed its way to the number one spot this past weekend at the box office, taking in over $50 million, following a $100 million haul in its opening weekend. "Speed Racer" edged in at number two, clearing the finishing line with a $20 million take.

In the next few weeks movies like "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" are likely to knock the current films off their perch. Part of a blockbuster of summer openings also includes "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," and the much anticipated movie of the HBO series "Sex and the City" -- followed by "The Incredible Hulk."

That's What's happening in Hollywood, Brad Wheelis of ABC news has this showbiz wrap-up.
