July 3, 2008 Macy's preps for July 4 fireworks in NYC Play video

(NECN/ABC) - Macy's provides a spectacular fireworks show every year in New York City for the 4th of July and this year they vow it will be the best one yet. This display is usually the biggest in the country. This year the fireworks will be shot off faster than normal.

Robin Hall, executive producer, says the barges (6 total) that shoot the fireworks are bigger than the ones that launch the fireworks from the Washington DC Mall.

This year's theme is celebrating America through music and dance.
