In that case, maybe Jeremiah Wright wasn't kidding about accepting the V.P. slot.
Have you spent your tax rebate yet?
Oh, I know the checks just went in the mail. But why get hung up on a technicality when it's your duty to stimulate the economy?
The truth is, I'm feeling a little bit guilty about those rebate checks.
Here's why...

With our crazy spending habits, we Americans are creating lots of new jobs…For debt collectors in India.
Skip a payment on your credit card or mortgage, and they'll lower the boom on you from a call center in New Delhi....
Am I missing something?
I thought the reason we're facing a slowdown --and-- higher prices is that we're being punished for the "housing bubble" ... Too much borrowing by people who couldn't afford the payments...
So now we solve the problem by going on a spending spree with a tax rebate check? From a federal government that's broke?
I have a better idea.
Let's spend all of our food budget on high-priced fuel for our cars, oh, wait, we already did that ... It's called ethanol....
Summing up: I just hope those debt collectors in India can straighten out the economy before it crashes.
