(NECN) - It's no longer the "third rail" for Massachusetts politicians. Suddenly, from House Speaker Sal Dimasi to Governor Deval Patrick, there's serious talk of hiking the gas tax as a bail out for the near bankrupt Turnpike Authority and MBTA.

Jim's guests are at the center of the debate over taxes and tolls. Representative David Linsky, Democrat of Natick, an early supporter of gas tax hikes as an alternative to higher tolls, and Representative Lew Evangelidis, Republican of Holden is trying to apply the brakes to the toll tax hikes.
