State of Education: Coping with the high costs

(NECN) - The Boston Foundation and NECN continue the series: State of Education: Making the grade in Massachusetts. Over the course of this year we have been examining what's working and what isn't in public schools, from preschool to college. The focus of this program is on higher education.

RD Sahl and Paul Grogan, president and CEO of the Boston Foundation host the second installment of the series. Joining RD and Paul to discuss the issues is Joseph Aoun the president of Northeaster University, Irvin Scott, the academic superintendent for the Boston Public Schools, and Susan Dalelio, director of the Posse Foundation in Boston which builds multicultural teams, and trains them for top universities.

In this segment, the panel discusses the difficulty of paying for college, and what institutions are doing to help make college more accessible to everyone.
