BBJ: Pets rule economic roost


(NECN) - Pet boutiques and spas in New England have bucked the current belt-tightening trend across most of the retail sector.

The prevailing feeling among pet owners is that they are innocent in the economic crisis, and they should not be punished as if they are guilty.

Still, big ticket items and unnecessary surgeries are being cut back on by pet owners.
