(NECN/WTNH) - Connecticut car dealer have turned to the state to help boost sales. A group representing roughly 300 dealerships wants the Connecticut to temporarily reduce, or lift altogether, the 6-percent sales tax on new cars and trucks.
Without such assistance, the Connecticut Automotive Retailers Association said sales may not improve, leading to the loss of thousands of jobs.
Governor Jodi Rell has reportedly undertaken a review of the proposal.
