(NECN) - Despite the increase in the nation's unemployment rate, investors found some positives in the market today, and stocks finished with modest gains.
The Dow Jones industrial average closed at 10,023-- gaining 17 points.
The Nasdaq composite finished at 2,112-- picking up seven points.
The S-and-P 500 ended at 1,069-- up more than two points.
Regionally -- Bloomberg’s New England index was up three quarters of a point.
The New England tech stock index gained one.
