(NECN) - The number of fundraising events is on the rise in Massachusetts.
More than 400 fundraisers were registered with the Attorney General's office in 2007.
It was a 28% increase over 2004.
The increasing number of formal gala events is stretching donor wallets thin as the economy slows.
