(NECN: Danica Pecirep, Worcester, Mass.) - The city of Worcester had the highest number of foreclosures any city in Massachusetts in the month of July. Today, Bay State Congressmen Jim McGovern and Barney Frank spoke about a new law that could provide some relief.
Rep. Frank was the principle author of the "American Housing Rescue and Foreclosure Prevention Act," which President Bush recently signed into law. This law will help families facing foreclosure to keep their homes, and will provide significant financial assistance to communities most impacted by the foreclosure crisis.
McGovern and Frank made a stop today in Marlboro, Massachusetts to explain what this all means.
McGovern and Frank are hoping the new law makes a big difference.
