| July 11, 2008 Horse owners struggle in sagging economy
|
(Stephen Iandoli, NECN) - the rising cost of fuel, the credit crunch, and the high cost of food mean some families are making tough decisions about what they really need, and what they can do without.
For some it means giving up family pets, especially those that eat hundreds of pounds of food a month. In this economy horse owners are struggling.
Six of the twelve rescued horses at eye of the storm equine rescue shelter in Stowe, came from owners who could no longer afford them.
NECN's Stephen Iandoli reports.
