(NECN) - The markets recovered for a mixed close, but it's been a tough week for the key averages.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained 32-and three quarters to close at 11, 220.
The Nasdaq composite dropped more than three to 22-55.
The S-&-P 500 rose five to finish at 1,242.
Regionally -- Bloomberg’s New England index climbed more than one.
The New England tech stock index fell about half a point.
Jim Lowell,chief investment strategist at Adviser Investments has Friday's market analysis.
