(Danica Pecirep, NECN) - Getting a college degree is the way to get ahead. In today's economy, it comes down to dollars and cents.
For Nina Sona of Worcester that school of choice is Quinsigamond Community College. She says a number of factors went into her decision- including price.
According to published reports nearly twelve million students nationwide enrolled in community colleges last year - a record number expected to jump even higher this fall.
A year ago- Sept. 07 we at the college found a 10% increase from the fall of 06. - which was unprecedented in the colleges history.
Steve Sullivan is the schools vice president of enrollment. He says even though students are still in the process of registering for classes - early numbers show this year enrollment numbers will spike again.
