| April 29, 2008 Truckers roll onto Capital Hill to protest diesel prices
|
(NECN) - While the Presidential candidates discussed gas prices, truckers protested high costs on the road. Hundreds of truckers rolled onto Capital Hill on Monday to protest record high diesel prices. They're paying more than $4.25 a gallon.
The slow moving caravan of drivers hoped consumers would hear their message that higher costs for them, will effect everyone.
The truckers are urging congress to stop subsidizing big oil companies, release oil from the strategic petroleum reserves and end exports of oil from Alaska.
