October 5, 2008 Wachovia plans on Wells Fargo deal Play video

(NECN) - Wachovia says it is moving forward with plans to be sold to Wells Fargo for $15 billion dollars.

This, despite a New York judge's order temporarily blocking the deal.

Wachovia says it does not think the judge's order will have any impact on the validity of the deal.

Citigroup had an earlier agreement to buy Wachovia's banking operations -- and struck a deal with help from the FDIC.
