| December 11, 2008 Young cancer survivor spreads holiday cheer
|
(NECN: Latoyia Edwards, Boston, Mass.) - During the holiday season, one Massachusetts teenager has made it her mission to give back. Carina Comer is a cancer survivor, and she wants to make sure other young cancer patients are able to enjoy the holidays.
Carina made her annual delivery of toys -- and gingerbread houses today to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Carina was an eight-year-old cancer patient back in 2000. Now, age 16, she has been giving back since 2002, raising more and more money each year for cancer patients.
Carina raises the money through bake sales and catering jobs.
