(NECN: Washington) - With an estimated 12 million Americans living with cancer, and 1.4 million new diagnoses every year, more needs to be done to fight the deadly disease.
Cancer survivor and seven time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and Elizabeth Edwards, wife of former presidential candidate John Edwards and cancer patient, both testified before a Senate committee Thursday morning.
Edwards and Armstrong both called fighting cancer a non-partisan issue.
