(NECN) - Massachusetts-based Dunkin' Donuts is trying to help America fight the battle of the bulge. Beginning next month, the Canton-based chain will begin offering a new slate of healthier sandwiches on a menu called "DD Smart."

They include two new flatbread sandwiches made with egg whites and both will be under 300 calories with nine grams of fat or less.

Dunkin' Donuts plans to spend several million dollars marketing the new menu.
