(NECN: Framingham, Mass.) - He's known as one of the best clutch hitters in Red Sox history, but now he's also a restaurant owner. David Ortiz spent his off day in Framingham at the grand opening of his new eatery, "Big Papi's Grille". While his teammates are slumping, Papi had to endure a huge slump earlier this year. He woke up in June, and hit seven home runs. Ortiz has since cooled off, coming back to earth with a .238 average so far in July. NECN's Chris Collins spoke with Big Papi to get his take on his struggles, and the upcoming trade deadline. Ortiz says that even though the Sox have slipped into second place, no one should be worries. "I believe after what happened in 2004, I think people shouldn't panic because anything can happen in baseball." Ortiz says, "we are gonna bounce back".
