| November 6, 2009 Obama: Entire nation is grieving after Fort Hood shootings
|
(NECN: Washington) - President Barack Obama this morning addressed the shooting massacre that took place yesterday at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas.
"We don't know all the answers yet, and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts," said Obama.
"From now until Veterans Day, I have ordered the flags at the White House and other federal buildings to be flown at half staff," said Obama.
Federal authorities have seized the suspected Fort Hood shooter's computer. They're looking for clues about what may have led to the rampage that left 13 people dead and 30 wounded, including the suspect. A U.S. law enforcement official says that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's apartment was searched early today.
